We had a lunch time flight from Los Angeles, with United Airlines to Chicago. With a free upgrade to exit row seats, Ben was extremely happy with the 5 inches extra leg room, and the 4 hour flight flew by.
We landed into O’Hare at 5:30pm central time, having lost 2 hours of the day to time zone changes.
Riding the ‘El’ train into Chicago was simple, albeit that it was during the rush hour. We changed trains and took the short ride north to the Fullerton stop, where we got off and walked the 15 minutes to our hostel.
After checking in at the Chicago Getaway Hostel we visited the local supermarket and got a bottle of red and dinner, digging in back in the hostel kitchen. It had been a long day of travelling and we were both feeling slightly shattered, sleep was beckoning!
