Today is a sad day, as we have to say goodbye to paradise and travel back to the mainland. We enjoyed our last breakfast in the restaurant,
then went back to the room to pack our bags.
For the rest of the morning we sat soaking up the atmosphere on the beach, whilst waiting for the big yellow catamaran to come to take us away. As it rounded the corner at 12:30pm our hearts sank, and the call for ‘boarding’ went out.
We boarded the resort boat and waved goodbye to the staff who had come to sing us a Fijian farewell song.
We then started the short ride out to the catamaran, where it waited for us out in the bay.
Once on we had a long 5 hour journey back down the Yasawa Islands to the mainland. We finally arrived at Port Denarau at 6pm, and jumped on the free transfer bus to our accommodation in Newtown.
Dinner tonight was back at Ambrosia, where we dined over two weeks ago when we first arrived in Fiji.
We have one night here in Nadi before catching our flight to Hawaii tomorrow night.
