Saturday – Snorkelling along the Blue Lagoon reef

This morning we hired snorkel gear and went in the sea for an underwater exploration of the reef, that started a couple of metres off shore.

The coral, number of fish and assortment of fish species makes us think this has been the best location for snorkelling.  The other bonus is that the water is so clear, and perfect for taking some pictures, here are some of our best ones!

Quite appropriately we had the ‘Saturday Special’ for lunch, which was a reef fish burger…quite delicious!  Couldn’t quite work out though, which ‘reef fish’ we were eating, and whether we had swam past it earlier in the day!

Just to get you all familiar with the lovely restaurant, and our general views and luxuries see the pics below.

The afternoon was spent larking about along the reef, spotting more amazingly coloured fish and generally enjoying their underwater world.

Our evening consisted of a ‘Tapas Night’ at the restaurant, whilst sitting and chatting to a couple from Rochdale…what a small world!  And, then watching the beach bonfire being ceremoniously lit at 9pm.
