This morning we had a lovely lay in, and a late breakfast before being treated to a trip out to the beautiful Wellington Point.
Rob drove us out through the southern suburbs of Brisbane to Wellington Point, where the outgoing tide revealed a vast sandbank that stretched out to King’s Island. We walked out to the island, watching the mud crabs flitting into their hidey holes as we neared them. The views were spectacular, stretching across to North Stradbroke Island, Moreton Bay and inland towards the city of Brisbane.
On getting back to the mainland we walked out along the jetty watching the kite surfers fly gracefully through the water.
As time was on our side we stopped for an afternoon coffee and our first ever lamington at a cafe, where we had a nice chat.
Back at the house we were treated to yet another gourmet feast – gnocchi…yum again! Before bed Nicola had a chat to her Mum, and then sat up with Elaine and Rob chatting.
