Up in the air and an appointment with Dr. Fish

Luckily the wind had dropped in the afternoon so we were able to return to the Angkor balloon and rose 180 metres above the ground to take in an arial view of Angkor Wat - more than anything we got a sense of the scale of the temple and a fantastic final viewpoint.

After we descended we went back into town for our last night - as we had arrived before things got started for the evening we had a sit down, kicked off our shoes and enjoyed a cold beer - while hundreds of tiny fish were nibbling at our toes. This was massage Dr Fish style, and for twenty minutes we let the little fish eat away at the dead skin on our feet - a nicer experience than it probably sounds!

We then went to a fish free bar for another beer, then to a Cambodian BBQ restaurant for dinner - chicken for Nicola, and a cook-your-own version for me; beef, prawns and vegetables cooked over a mini barbeque they brought to our table.

After dinner we went to the local night market for a little bartering,  I was tempted by the knock-off watches available and so bought two !! Nicola bought a little marble Ankor Wat statue and the dress she's been looking for since we got here.

To end our stay in Siem Reap we decided it was time for a cocktail, so finished the night off with a 'bucket' of gin & tonic before heading home.
