Today was our designated ‘to do’ day! The morning was spent at the hostel doing our laundry, after which we had lunch in our lovely little apartment.
Our deluxe apartment is quite a nice set-up for the 25 quid a night for 2; en suite, kitchen, dining area, sofa and flat screen TV…a bargain we think, and a nice place to get everything sorted that we need to.
After lunch we headed downtown to the City Library where we holed ourselves up for a couple of hours reading through their guidebooks on Fiji, Hawaii and LA. It was a good couple of hours, and we both left feeling very excited about the next leg of our trip!
We had a few shopping bits to pick up in town for Fiji, which was feeling like it was going to be a welcome relief as the rain got harder and harder in Auckland.
We then took much needed shelter at a brew pub on the quay, having a pint of their home made winter ale.
After which we walked back to the hostel and took refuge for the night in our apartment, having a lovely meal and watching a film on TV.
