Wednesday – Tin Can Bay to Hervey Bay (111kms)

Up at 7am; showered, breakfast and packed up and we were on the road at 8am, heading north to Maryborough.  After a short journey of 60kms we arrived in Maryborough, the birthplace of P.L. Travers, the author of Mary Poppins!

We had a wander around the small well preserved town, looking over the pristine old houses.  And, obviously went and said hello to the life size statue of the most famous Mary in Maryborough, Miss Poppins herself.

Back on the road, it was only another 40 kms to Hervey Bay, where after a quick Mc-wifi stop to check emails we checked in at our campsite for the night – Australiana.  After parking up and getting stuff sorted they booked us on an overnight tour to Fraser Island, departing tomorrow, and even said they would look after our van for the night we were gone.

This afternoon we have purchased some wine for this evenings dinner, and had a dip in the camp pool.  Tonight we need to get our bags sorted for the 2 day tour to Fraser.
