To break the time up inbetween visiting the big Cities of Melbourne and Sydney we had decided to have a couple of days back in the Grampians National Park. Our pick up was at 7:30am so it was another early start this morning.
After a couple of hours on the bus we arrived in Halls Gap at 11:30am and checked in to the YHA Eco Lodge Hostel. As we could not check in properly until reception opened at 5pm we wandered the short distance into the town and had a look around. As it was Easter Monday the town was very busy and lucky for us the Rotary Club were doing a sausage sizzle, so we partook and had a hotdog each - yum!
Back to the hostel we sat in the lovely garden and read for awhile and then checked in at reception.
In the early evening we walked down to the Oval to see the visiting Kangaroos, which were being plagued by the visiting tour bus, and then headed back to the hostel to make dinner.
All in all a lovely chilled out day!
And, as requested by Joseph, please see a photo of a wild Emu...as we have not seen your other request I give you Uncle Ben pretending to be a surfing Koala!!
