After a trip to the post office to send home some unwanted stuff (which should get home just before we do !!) we were driven to the airport by the nice hotel staff as our taxi didn't turn up !
The flight was a smooth one with Lao Airlines, and we avoided the electrical storm we could see through the window and descended rather dramatically into Luang Prabang airport, with great nighttime views on the way !
After the usual Asian immigration shuffle we were picked up and driven to our new accommodation at the Thongbay Guesthouse, and shown to our bungalow by the side of the river. After a cold Beerlao for supper we retired to bed.
ps Happy Birthday to Tracy who turns 29 today !!
